ABSTRACT

Tumor immunotherapy has changed mode for tumor treatment and has gradually developed into the fourth tumor treatment option after surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. However, the response rate of immunotherapy is limited. Identification of accurate tumor immunotherapy biomarkers as targets or detection and evaluation indicators would be helpful to improve the response rate. Explorations of more effective delivery of immunotherapy would benefit more patients. Prevention and response to immune-related adverse reactions are also necessary. With the development of research, immunotherapy will bring more hope to cancer patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To determine the frequency of anti-HCV antibody positivity in patients with non-liver disease complaints, to explore whether anti-HCV positive patients had been properly advised and visited hepatologists for further assessments, and to investigate their clinical characteristics as well as the HCV treatment status. Methods:A hospital based survey of non-liver disease patients with anti-HCV positive and their attending physicians was conducted to determine: 1. were the patients adequately advised of the implication of anti-HCV positive finding; 2. to what extent the patients were aware of potential chronic liver disease associated with HCV infection and whether they sought for further assessments and care of hepatologists. Results:A total of 295 294 non-liver disease patients were tested for anti-HCV antibody, and 2 778 of them were found to be positive (0.94%). However, only 45.10% (1 253/2 778) of the anti-HCV antibody (+) patients were referred to hepatologists and received HCV RNA test. In addition, 34.10% (312/915) and 1.42% (13/915) of them had already advanced to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), respectively. Further analysis showed that the patients who declined antiviral therapy were older, with lower education and lower income, possessed poorer knowledge on the risk of chronic hepatitis C, and had more severe liver diseases. Surprisingly, 65% of the surveyed physicians did not know the genotype-guided treatment duration suggested by the guidelines. Alarmingly, 22% of the surveyed physicians did not know the standard assays for the diagnosis of HCV infection. Conclusions:Our findings highlight the challenge and hidden enormous burden of chronic HCV infection among patients with non-liver disease complaints in China.

ABSTRACT

Through consulting related literatures on modern medicine pathogenesis and treatment status of chronic pain, new clinical treatment methods were revealed and summarized.Literatures on modern medicine pathogenesis and treatment of chronic pain were retrieved from the CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,and Pubmed database from January 2000 to December 2016.Literatures with big influence, strong representation and new treatment method were screened. All methods were classified to summarize the pathogenesis and clinical application situation. This paper discussed the pathogenesis of peripheral sensitization, central sensitization, psychological mechanism and clinical medication.Through nearly 15 years of literature analysis, the pathogenesis of modern medicine and treatment status of chronic pain were summarized.

ABSTRACT

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: In spite of increasing dental treatment for the disabled, there was no collected data on prosthodontic treatment status and dentists' perceptions in Korea. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to research the dentists' perceptions about current prosthodontic treatment status for the disabled in Korea and to suggest public health policies for the disabled. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Total of 68 dentists who have regularly treated the disabled were asked to fill questionnaires regarding prosthodontic treatment for the disabled. RESULTS: 1. 45.6% of dentists felt the necessity of an esthetic prosthesis for the disabled. However, 54.3% of dentists reported the improvement of access to implant, orthodontic and esthetic treatment is needed. 2. Most (79.4%) of the dentists thought it is imperative for the government to support the disabled to maintain adequate oral health by providing at least 50% of charge in their prosthesis. CONCLUSION: Through this research, 97.1% of dentists answered that the current prosthodontic treatment status for the disabled in Korea is poor. This indicated the necessity of the financial support from the government for the disabled.
